U-Matic tape containing five public service announcements promoting the Detroit Recreation Department's 1985 Riverfront Ethnic Festivals in Hart Plaza. All spots are set to instrumental versions of the "Be a Part of the Heart of Detroit" jingle and close with the "Do It In Detroit" logo.
The first spot is ten seconds in length and features shots of a saxophone player and a drummer from the African World Festival.
The second spot is twenty seconds in length and features the drummer from the African World Festival, a woman in Polish folk costume clapping, a group in Mexican folk costume waving to the camera, and one of the food vendors from the African World Festival.
The third sport is thirty seconds long and features Polish folk dancers, Mexican dancers, the drummer and saxophone player from the African World Festival, and Irish folk band, women showing a pastry from the Irish festival, and the woman selling food at the African World Festival.
The fourth spot is also thirty seconds long and features the Polish dancers, a shot of the crowd in the amphitheater area, gift and food vendors at the African World and Irish festivals, and the Mexican dancers.
The final spot is ten seconds long and features the dancers from the Polish and Mexican festivals.
The spots are on a 3M UCA-5 U-Matic tape with a handwritten City of Detroit Department of Public Information Video Production label. The tape is housed within a black plastic latching case with a matching label on its cover.
