U-Matic tape containing a recording of a voice-over for a public service announcement promoting the 1985 Noel Night, followed by shots of title cards from spots promoting Noel Night, and the annual Christmas Carnival.

The tape opens with a woman providing five takes of a voice-over concerning Noel Night in the University Cultural Center at 6 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 1985.

This is followed by a silent shot of the title card promoting the 1985 Noel Night. The card features an image of holly and ribbons, and includes the text, "Wednesday, December 11, 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., University Cultural Center."

A several shots of the Christmas Carnival title card follow. The card is blue, white, and red, and includes and image of snow covered pine trees. The card contains the text, "Where the Treetops Glisten," "Detroit's 24th Annual Christmas Carnival, Dec. 6-18, Cobo Hall, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily," and "Sponsored by the Detroit Recreation Department," as well as the Do It In Detroit campaign logo.

The video is on a 3M MBU-18 U-Matic S tape with a small handwritten label on its top. The tape is housed within a black plastic latching clamshell case with a handwritten 3M label on its back cover.
