Ashtray
One ashtray and matchbook holder which may have come from the steamship, SS ALLEGHENY. The oval-shaped ashtray is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a narrow, slightly-upturned rim with an oval-shaped, upright matchbook holder at the center. A narrow dark gray stripe encircles the ashtray along the outer edge of the rim. Narrow dark gray stripes also encircle the matchbook holder at the top edge and base. The two long sides of the holder are stamped with a gray "USSC" logo. The underside of the ashtray is stamped with green text that reads "Mayer China" and "Made for Union Supply Company."
