Platter
One small platter from the dining room of the steamship, SS ALLEGHENY. The oval-shaped platter is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. Narrow green/gray stripes encircle the platter along the outer and inner edges of the rim. At a break in the inner stripe at the center of one of the long sides, a green/gray "USSC" logo is stamped along with small text that reads "Steamer Allegheny." The underside is stamped with green text that reads "Mayer China" and "Made for Union Supply Company."
