Chalice
One communion chalice used at St. James Lutheran Church that was located at the southwest corner of Lyndon Avenue and Southfield Road in Detroit. The chalice is made of gold-plated silver. It has a rounded goblet at the top and a stem that flares outward to form a wide circular base. A round knob is located at the center of the stem and a small decorative cross is affixed to the curved top surface on one side of the base. Engraved lettering on the underside of the base reads "IS [International Silver]" and "E1980, Silver Soldered."
