Dish, Dessert
One dessert or ice cream dish from the dining room of the bulk carrier, SS Philip D. Block, of the Inland Steel Company. The round dish is made of heavyweight glazed china of a bone/ivory color. It has curved sides and a narrow rim with a thickened outer edge. A narrow red stripe encircles the dish along the outer edge of the rim and a narrow gray stripe encircles the inner edge. A red diamond-shaped company emblem, which shows the name, "Inland," in bone/ivory-colored text, is stamped below the stripes on one side of the bowl. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Sterling Vitrified China, East Liverpool, Ohio, U.S.A.," and "E-7."
