Liner, Helmet
One helmet liner cap worn by U.S. Army Artillery Sgt. Daniel M. Karales. The cap is made of dark green wool and has a light brown flannel lining. The cap has four small buttonholes for attachment to the inside of a helmet. A manufacturer's label on the inside of the liner shows "M-S-A Skullgard Winter Lining, Tab Type - Large Size, For Hats and Caps , Sizes 7 3/8 to 8. Cat. No. DK-16090. U.S. Pat. 2286843, Pat. Can. 1942, Mine Safety Appliances Co., Made in U.S.A., Pittsburgh, PA."
