One medallion that commemorates the commissioning of the USS Detroit (LCS 7) in Detroit on October 22, 2017. The vertical oval-shaped medallion is made of a lightweight metal that has a color enamel-like finish of both sides and a gold-colored rope design along the edges. The obverse shows an image of the bow of the ship with gold-colored text that reads "Commissioning - 22 October 2016 - Detroit, MI." The reverse shows a shield and crest emblem and the motto, "Swift Vigilance."
