Medal, Commemorative
One medallion that commemorates the commissioning of the USS Detroit (LCS 7) in Detroit on October 22, 2017. The circular-shaped medallion is made of metal and has a gray tire and silver-colored anchor design along the perimeter with a vertical oval-shaped center. The obverse shows a painted image of a shield and crest emblem at the center and the motto, "Swift Vigilance." Larger white lettering along the perimeter of the medallion reads "Motor City" and "Arsenal of Democracy." The reverse shows an image of the bow of the ship at the center with white lettering along the perimeter that reads "USS Detroit - LCS 7."
