Pitcher, Water

One water pitcher from a passenger steamship dining room of the Richelieu & Ontario Navigation Company. The pitcher is made of white glazed china. It is has an open top with a wide spout, a tall decorative handle, and an oval-shaped body which has gently curved sides that form a rounded bottom with a short oval-shaped base. A black emblem is stamped on both sides of the pitcher at the center that shows a detailed image of a ship's wheel and anchor along with black text that reads "Richelieu & Ontario Navigation Company." The underside is stamped with green text that reads "J. & G. Meakin, Hanley, England." Adjacent raised text shows the word, "Hotel."
