Plate, Bread

One bread plate from a dining room of one of the Lake Michigan car ferries of the Pere Marquette Railway. The round plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. Narrow blue stripes encircle the rim along the outer and inner edges. A blue image of one of the company ferries is stamped at the center of the plate along with blue text that reads "Pere Marquette." The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Albert Pick Co., Inc., Chicago," and "Vitrified China."
