Plate, Bread
One bread plate from the dining room of the Detroit Yacht Club (DYC). The round plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, slightly-upturned rim and a thickened outer edge. A dark, multi-color painted scene of sailing ships at sea is repeated three times along the rim to form a continuous image. The underside is stamped with dark green text that reads "Scammell's Lamberton China, Made Expressly for Detroit Yacht Club."
