Plate, Dinner

One dinner plate from a railroad dining car of the Canadian Pacific Railroad Great Lakes Service. The round plate is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has a flat, slightly-upturned rim and a thickened outer edge. A decorative multicolor band, consisting of a floral, wheat stalk, and maple leaf pattern, is printed along the middle of the rim. At a break in the band, blue text reads "Canadian Pacific." The underside of the plate has a red crown logo with red text that reads "Vitirified, Reg. No. 745624" and "Ridgways, Estd. 1793, Shelton, England."
