It has a flat, slightly-upturned rim and a thickened outer edge. A decorative multicolor band, consisting of a floral, wheat stalk, and maple leaf pattern, is printed along the middle of the rim. At a break in the band, blue text reads "Canadian Pacific." The underside of the plate has a black crown/globe logo with black text that reads "Mintons, Est. 1793," and "England."
