Platter
One platter from the dining room of the passenger steamship, SS Cayuga, of the Niagara Navigation Company. The oval-shaped platter is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. Narrow green stripes on the top surface encircle the platter along the outer and inner edges of the rim. At a break in the inner stripe at the center of one of the long sides, a green flag and life ring emblem is stamped along with small text that reads "Niagara Navigation Company Limited." The underside is stamped with green text that reads "Vitrified Acme China, Wood & Sons, England," and "Gowans, Kent & Co., Ltd., Toronto."
