Platter
One large serving platter from a dining room of one of the passenger steamships of the Temiskaming Navigation Company, Ltd., of Ontario. The oval-shaped platter is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a slightly-curved, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. One narrow red stripe encircles the rim along the midpoint. At a break in the stripe at the center of one of the long sides, a red/black/white image of the company flag is stamped along with black text that reads "The Temiskaming Nav. Co., Ltd." The underside is stamped with black text that reads, "W. H. Grindley & Co., Vitrified, England," and "Furnished by Nerlich & Co., Toronto."
