Platter
One serving platter from the dining room of the self-unloader, SS BUCKEYE, of the Columbia Transportation Division of Oglebay Norton Corporation. The oval-shaped platter is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. One narrow red stripe encircles the inner edge of the rim. The company logo, consisting of a red star with a white "C" at the center, is stamped at the center of the platter. The underside is stamped with a "J" logo and black text that reads, "Jackson Custom China, Falls Creek, PA, USA," and "C12" as well as an oval-shaped union label.
