Platter
One small platter from the bulk carrier, SS E. J. Block, of the Inland Steel Company. The oval-shaped platter is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. A wide red stripe encircles the rim at the midpoint. At a break in the stripe at the center of one of the long sides, the company logo is shown on a smokestack. The underside is stamped with a green logo that depicts a seated Indian and green text that reads "Shenango China, New Castle, PA."
