Printer
One "Addressograph" credit card charge slip printer. The "NewBold" model printer has a rectangular aluminum base, a black plastic frame, and a manually-operated black plastic sliding arm that passes back and forth across the top surface.
To operate the printer, the sales cashier would place a customer charge card and a carbon paper charge slip into designated slots on the top surface. The cashier would then slide the arm back and forth one time which would create an imprint of the customer account information from the embossed text on the charge card onto the charge slip. The cashier would then handwrite the list of purchased items and charge amounts onto the slip for the customer's review and signature. The original slip would be retained by the cashier and a copy would be sent to the payment processor. The bottom copy would be given to the customer as a receipt.
