One framed informational sign from a cabin or public area of one of the passenger steamships of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company (D&C Line) fleet. The oval-shaped "Notice" sign consists of black printed text on white paper and gives general information about passenger safety and conduct on the ship. Small black and white photographic images show passengers how to put on a life preserver. The sign is held in a decorative oak wood frame that includes a protective glass cover.
