Sepia-toned photo showing Detroit-Windsor Tunnel bus passengers going through the U.S. Customs and Immigration checkpoint. The view shows three passengers who are speaking with two customs agents. A heavy brass railing is visible in the foreground with overhead signs to designate lanes for passenger arrivals. Overhead lights and office windows can be seen in the background. The image is reversed with grease pencil cropping notes and background elements touched up in paint. A typewritten label on the verso shows "Left to right (as they posed) Gordon Griffiths, inspector, Mr. & Mrs. George A. Richardson, their daughter, Marguerite, and Ernest Palmer, inspector. First bus passengers to reach Detroit from Windsor." A black ink stamp shows "Photographer Herrmann, Reporter Cousins." A blue ink stamp shows the date, "Nov. 4, 1930."
