One color photograph of two overflow standpipes in the hold of a barge. The photo shows two short overhanging access walkways with control valves. The tops of the standpipes with circular coarse screen grates are visible beneath the walkways. The interior sides of the barge hold are visible at the lower right. The barge deck and a crane counterweight can be seen in the upper right background. (Possibly, this barge was used to collect dredged material where earth and stone would settle to the bottom of the barge hold and water could flow out over the tops of the standpipes.)
