One sepia-toned photograph of the bulk carrier, A. H. FERBERT, at the Great Lakes Engineering Works shipyard in River Rouge, Michigan. The photo shows a starboard side view of the stern section of the ship as it moves sideways off the slipway and into the water with a large splash. Workmen and spectators can be seen standing along the taffrail of the ship. Open water is visible in the foreground and a portion of the slipway is visible at the far left side of the photo in the background.
