One sepia-toned photograph of the Parish School, St. James Parish Lutheran Church, which was located near the southwest corner of Humboldt and Poplar Streets in Detroit. The photo shows a view of one of the long sides of the rectangular 2-story brick building which has a hip roof. A double door entrance is located at the center of the building on the ground floor. A single door, a landing, and stairway are located on the second floor directly above the ground floor door. A gravel yard, concrete sidewalk, and wood fence are visible in the foreground. Several trees can be seen in the front yard and at the sides of the building.
