The view looks northeastward across Woodward Avenue and shows a parked car and a streetcar in the foreground. The row of old buildings, located on the east side of Woodward just south of Jefferson Avenue, can be seen in the background. The City-County Building (now the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center) can be seen under construction in the far background at the left side of the photo.
