The view looks eastward and shows the construction work underway in the center area of the photo. The Detroit River can be seen at the left side of the photo, the Livingstone Lighthouse is visible near the center right top edge, and the Belle Isle shoreline can be seen at the right. Small printed white text along the lower right edge reads "Curtiss-Wright Flying Service Photo Div." A black ink stamp on the verso reads "Curtiss Flying Service, Inc., Photo Division, 350 West 31st Street, N.Y.C.
