Print, Photographic

One black and white photograph (and negative) of the previously-sunken tugboat, Sachem, of the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company. The tugboat, which sank on Lake Erie in December, 1950, was raised and has been returned to a dock at Dunkirk, New York. The photo shows a port bow view of the tugboat in the foreground. Several workmen and company officials are walking on the tugboat deck or on the adjacent decks of two crane barges that can be seen in the background. Several visitors (possibly surviving family members of the deceased crew members) are standing on a dock at the far right side of the photo.
