A horse carriage is visible in the lower right corner moving along the avenue in front of The Hotel Cadillac; pedestrians are also visible walking near and in front of the General Alexander Macomb Statue. The Edison Illuminating Company is next to the hotel on the east side of Washington. Written on the verso, "East side, Washington Ave - Michigan to State, looking north."
