Print. Black and white photographic print, taken from an elevated vantage point, of the newly-completed eighteen story addition to The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store, located on the corner of Woodward and Grand River Avenues. Automobiles are visibly parked on the neighboring avenues, and are also stopped at the intersection. Pedestrians are also visible on the sidewalk, and the stores window displays are also discernible. The name of the photography studio and the geographic location are embossed on the recto, "Manning Bros., Detroit." Also, the photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "93795."
