Print. Black and white photographic print of the newly-completed eighteen story addition to The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store at the corner of Woodward and Grand River Avenues. Automobiles are visible parked along the curb in front of the store on the adjacent avenues; they are also waiting at the traffic light at the intersection. Window washers are visible on the thirteenth floor of the building. Signage affixed to the façade reads, "Hudson's 45th Anniversary." The name of the photography studio and the geographic location are embossed on the recto, "Manning Bros., Detroit." Also, the photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "93198."
