Print. Black and white photographic print of the southeast corner of Woodward and Grand River Avenues, taken from an elevated vantage point and features the deconstruction of the Newcomb-Endicott Building. The structure is over half way gone, and the interior support system, and interior brickwork is visible. Workers are visible on the upper floor of the building. Scaffolding is visible around the structure, and affixed signage reads, "THE GREATER HUDSON STORE, PLANNINED BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN A GREATER DETROIT." Pedestrians are visible on the corner, and crossing the street. Automobiles are visible on both streets parked or waiting at the intersection. The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store is visible in the background. Also, The J.L. Hudson Company Music Store is visible in the background on Library Street. The photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "87235." Also, the name of the photography studio and their geographic location are embossed on the bottom of the recto, "Manning Bros., Detroit."
