Photograph. Black and white photo showing a group of five "comrades in arms." The image shows five men who are wearing uniforms and are standing on snow-covered ground in front of several railroad hopper cars. The names of the men are not known, but their uniforms are (left to right): U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Ontario Provincial Police. The smokestacks of the Detroit Edison Marysville electric power plant can be seen in the background. The group had attended a dedication ceremony for the power interconnections that were recently completed (August and September, 1953) across the Detroit River and St. Clair River between Detroit Edison and Ontario Hydro. The dedication ceremony was held on December 18, 1953, at the Marysville electric power plant.
