The names of the men are not known, but their uniforms are (left to right): Michigan State Police, Ontario Provincial Police, Detroit Edison, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Michigan State Police. Several pieces of equipment in the foreground show "Detroit Edison Co." and "Belle River, Michigan" so this picture may have been taken at the Detroit Edison St. Clair electric power plant which was located near the Belle River in St. Clair, Michigan. Several of these officers also appear in another picture (catalog number 2012.046.289) so it is also possible that this picture was taken at the nearby Detroit Edison Marysville electric power plant.
