Detroit's Reply, Detroit 1968
Large format 13 page booklet published as part of Detroit's 1968 Summer Olympic bid. The book is written in both English and French, and contains answers to questions to questions concerning the city's ability and suitability to host the games posed in a brochure from the International Olympic Committee, concerning a fine arts program, the date of the games, governing bodies, a map of sports facilities, laws that might complicate the games, the Olympic Village, finances, climate, visitor accommodations, and previous international events in the city. Also included are black and white photographs highlighting aspects of Detroit including the Jam Handy Organization's studios, WXYZ's control room during a showing of the Johnny Ginger Show, Wayne State's McGregor Memorial Conference Center, a bus station, a cafeteria, and a group of switchboard operators. "Created and produced by MacManus, John & Adam, Inc., 1963," is printed on the bottom of the last page.
