Monroe Harbor, Michigan
One navigational chart entitled, "Monroe Harbor, Michigan," that was compiled and published as part of the Survey of the Northern and Northwestern Lakes (Corps of Engineers, U. S. Lake Survey). The chart (No. 376) is a polyconic projection and is drawn at a scale of 1:20,000. It shows the approach channel to the mouth of the River Raisin at Monroe Harbor, factory buildings, highways, and streets in downtown Monroe as well as the adjacent Michigan shoreline of Lake Erie from Brest Bay to La Plaisance Bay. Land areas are shaded pale yellow. Water areas are shown in white and various shades of pale blue depending upon water depths which are shown in feet. Marsh areas are printed in blue. Other details include course and range bearings, distances in statute miles, lines of latitude and longitude, buoys, and lighthouses. Printed text in the lower left corner shows "Edition of October, 1937."
