Printed text at the bottom center shows "Organized at Detroit, Mich., Aug. 1, 1862. Mustered into the United States Service at Detroit, Mich., Aug. 15, 1862." Printed text along the lower edge shows "Lithographed by A. Hoen & Co., Balto."
