Military Register
1 - Register, "Military Register," mounted on board for Company E of the 24th Regiment of the Michigan Volunteer Infantry. The register includes numerous drawings of Civil War scenes, including soldiers lying down, sitting around a fire, on battlefields, and returning home. The center of the documents has three columns listing members of the regiment and includes remarks next to the names of soldiers wounded, killed, promoted, discharges, or deserted. The left and right columns list names of Privates and the center column lists Company Officers including Present and Original Officers. Text at the bottom left lists the company's engagements and text in the center reads "Organized at Detroit, Mich., Aug. 1, 1862. Mustered into the United States Service At Detroit, Mich., Aug. 15, 1862."
