Log Book, Steamer Daniel J. Morell, 1956-1957
One ship's log book. The log book has been rebound with a black cloth hardcover and contains about 100 un-numbered pages. Gold-colored lettering on the spine shows "Log Book Str. Daniel J. Morell, 1956-1957." Interior pages have column headings that are printed in black text along the tops of the pages for "Date, Place, Time, Course, Wind, Weather, Log, Distance in Miles, Revolutions, Average Revolutions, and Remarks." Handwritten entries are shown in pencil throughout the log book and record vessel trips as follows:
Trips 5-26; July 23 to December 6, 1956.
Trips 1-9; April 7 to June 6, 1957.
Three pages at the end of the book provide a handwritten summary of ore load data for 1956 and maintenance records for wheelchains.
