Official 1961 Highway Map - Wayne County
One map entitled "Official 1961 Highway Map - Wayne County." The map is printed in black and green ink and shows the major freeways in the county including the Lodge Freeway, Davison Freeway, and Interstate 94 (I-94). The proposed route of the Chrysler Freeway (Interstate 75 (I-75)) is also shown. Several black and white pictures around the edges show views of Detroit, Wayne County parks, and freeway interchanges. Printed text at the top of the sheet gives a brief history of road construction in the county. The map was prepared by the Board of County Road Commissioners. The other side of this sheet shows all of the major roads and highways in the county and can be viewed under object ID number 2013.042.406.
