Enemy Ears Are Listening

World War II poster with the message, "Enemy Ears Are Listening." The poster shows black and white drawings of the heads of the three leaders of the Axis powers (left to right): Benito Mussolini of Italy, General Hideki Tojo of Japan, and Adolph Hitler of Germany. Their hands are cupped to their ears to indicate that they are listening for any careless talk that may offer useful intelligence information. The artist's last name, "Iligan," is shown at the bottom of the center drawing. Small printed text in the lower left corner of the poster shows "For additional copies, write to Graphics Division, Office of War Information, Washington, D.C.; Specify OWI No. 5." Small printed text in the lower right corner shows "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1942-O-480485."
