U-Matic tape containing several takes of a woman portraying a teacher interacting with a group of young children who play her students. She tells them about the annual Christmas Carnival at Cobo Hall.

The video is on a Sony U-Matic S tape with a handwritten City of Detroit Department of Public Information label on its top. The tape is housed within a black plastic latching clamshell case with a matching Department of Public Information label on its cover. The cover includes the tape number 179, the date, December 8, 1983, and the crossed out note "Displays, Mayor Young & Santa Claus."
