Bugle
One bugle used by United Spanish War Veteran (USWV) chief musician/bugler, Joseph B. Hoffman. The brass bugle has a lacquer finish and a removable mouthpiece. It is stamped with the name of the manufacturer just above the bell, "King, Made by the H. N. White Co., Clev'd, O, Licensed" as well as the emblem of the Boy Scouts of America with text that shows "Official Bugle, Boy Scouts of America." The name, "Jos. Hoffman," is engraved beneath the emblem. The bugle also has a separate decorative dark red braided lanyard with tassel ends that can be looped through the two small eyes on the inside bends of the instrument. The mouthpiece is stamped, "Antoine Courtois, Brevete, 48 R. Des Marais, St. Martin, Paris, France" and "Odele, J. Levy." The bugle has a black cloth storage pouch with a drawstring.
