Fez
One fez worn by United Spanish War Veteran (USWV) chief musician/bugler, Joseph B. Hoffman. The fez is made of heavy dark red felt that has a short gold-colored cord and tassel on top. Decorative embroidered text on the front shows "U.S.W.V., Detroit." A white cloth patch on the inside has handwritten text in blue ink that shows "J. Hoffman." The fez is contained in a black cloth pouch with a snap closure.
