One dessert or ice cream dish from the dining room of the bulk carrier, SS Joliet, of the Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company. The round dish is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has curved sides and a scalloped top edge. A decorative green leaf band encircles the top surface along the sides of the dish just below the top edge. A green diamond-shaped "CCIC [Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company]" logo is stamped on the flat bottom at the center of the dish. Stamped green text on the underside of the plate reads "O.P. Co.
