Black and white photo taken overlooking the partial hull of the wooden 94 foot long prototype rescue boat during its construction at Detroit Basin Incorporated. The boat was designed by John Hacker and the Huron-Eddy Company, and became the U.S. Air Force patrol boat R-21-1251. The photo was taken from above the boat's stern. A worker at a machine is visible on the workshop's floor off of the boat's port side. An insert printed into the photo at the lower left corner provides information about the image:
