One black and white Polaroid photograph of a sunken railroad boxcar at the Grand Trunk Railroad car ferry dock in Detroit. The photo looks downstream and shows the Detroit River in the foreground as well as two steel cable slings which are being used to raise the submerged car. The side of a crane barge from the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company is visible at the far left side of the photo. A new timber seawall can be seen at the center and right side of the photo. Railroad cars can be seen on the adjacent shore in the background. Handwritten blue ink text on the upper and lower edges of the photo reads "Salvage R.R. Car at G.T. W. R.R. Car Ferry Slip. Feb. 1, 1967, Detroit - DC 3986 AR#1."
