One black and white Polaroid photograph of sunken railroad boxcar that is being raised out of the water at the Grand Trunk Railroad car ferry dock in Detroit. The photo shows a view of the side of a "Canadien National" boxcar and two steel cable lift slings. A crane, located aboard a Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company barge, can be seen in the upper background area of the photo. Handwritten blue ink text on the upper and lower edges of the photo reads "R.R. car clearing water - Trucks attached by 3/4" Brake Rod" and "Feb. 1, 1967 - DC 3986 AR#1, Detroit, Mich."
