One black and white photograph showing the aftermath of a barge and bridge collision in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The photo shows a view of the crane barges, "CHEROKEE" and "GOTHAM," of the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company. It appears that the "Cherokee" (left background) has collided with a large bundle of protective timber pilings at one end of the Ahnapee and Western Railway swing bridge. It is not clear if the "GOTHAM" (left foreground) was also involved in the collision or if it is assisting the "CHEROKEE." The railroad bridge and its wooden foundation pier can be seen at the center of the photo with the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal at the right. A black ink stamp on the verso reads "Harmann Studios, Artists in Photography, 222 Steele St., Algoma, Wis. - 11 N. Third Ave., Sturgeon Bay, Wis."
