Photograph. Black and white photo of the ruined hull of the passenger steamship, SS Hamonic, under tow to the scrap yard in Hamilton, Ontario. The vessel caught fire while docked at Point Edward, Ontario, on July 17, 1945, and was a total loss. The Hamonic was part of the Northern Navigation Division of Canada Steamship Lines. A black ink stamp on the verso shows "Marine Historical Society of Detroit, 21733 Tenny Ave., Dearborn, Mich." and "Sep. 16, '45."
