Sepia-toned photo of three employees of the Merchants Credit Bureau--Estelle Koehler, Judie Strandburg, and Laurine Sheeran, as indicated by a handwritten note on the verso--posing in winter coats of the roof of the Merchants Building, on the east corner of Grand River Avenue and Broadway Avenue. The Kresge Building and the sign for the Madison Theatre are in the background. "1923," is handwritten on both the recto and verso, however it has been changed to "1924," on the verso. The remnants of stripes used to affix the photo in an album are on the corners.
